THE TIN DRUM (BRD/F 1978/79) //

Calculation, dated January 10, 1978. The scheduled start of the shooting on May 29, 1978 could not be adhered. The shooting could only start on May 31 in Yugoslavia  (with the “Maiwiesen” sequence) and finally end on November 17 the same year. Alltogether the cost of production was estimated at slightly above 6 Million DM. One of the most well-known and most successful film architects of the world, Sir Ken Adam (among others: Stanley Kubrick’s DR. STRANGELOVE and BARRY LYNDON, James Bond) was intended for the production design – what could not be realised for financial reasons. //
