Forwarded to Schlöndorff with the comment “Volker, do you need this?” Translation: “Dear Valeska, I thank you for your letter and your photograph. I was delighted with our collaboration, and even though your personality is designed quite difficult, you have done everything right with your intuition, with your bizarre genius.
