RETURN TO MONTAUK in Competition at 67th International Berlin Film Festival
RETURN TO MONTAUK (DE/FR/IE 2017), Volker Schlöndorff’s newest feature film, will have its international premiere in this year’s Berlinale Competition. For the German theatrical release on May 11, Schlöndorff’s production material will be available on the virtual exhibition.
The film, inspired by Max Frisch’s novel Montauk, features writer Max Zorn (Stellan Skarsgård), his wife Clara (Susanne Wolff) who works on publishing his newest book, and Max’s long-lost love Rebecca (Nina Hoss), with whom he returns to Montauk for one weekend, a place where they once were happy together.
